Very rarely do you get a superhero film that decides to be daring and go for something different and very rarely do we get a good X-men film that stands out from the rest, but the way in which Bryan Singer merged the realms of two different X-men castings just propelled Days of Future Past on to a different level.
I remember watching First Class and not only thinking "Thank god this isn't that god awful X-Men Origins film" but also pondering "Could this be the catalyst of a much needed revamp that the X-men, and of course the Brotherhood, needed.
The addition of Quiksilver brought a whole new feel to the film, giving it a great comedic twist, and I’d say that was a stroke of genius.
With such a diverse selection of characters from the archives of comics, I am sure we will be seeing X-Men films for years to come. And if they’re anything like this addition to the series, I’ll be first in line to see them.
